Amazingly, Hawaii is the macadamia nut capital of the world, growing 90% of the world's macadamia nuts. Macadamia Nut Oil is expeller pressed from the nuts of the Macadamia Ternifolia tree. It contains about 80% monounsaturated fatty acid triglycerides, especially Palmitoleic and Oleic. Its high concentration of Palmitoleic acid, a naturally occurring fatty acid produced by the sebaceous glands, makes it very emollient. Very easily absorbed by the skin, it improves facial lines and aids in skin moisture retention. |
