Maui Nani is a small skin care company located on Maui in the Hawaiian Islands. The founder, Dawn R. Boucher, has a doctorate in chemistry and is creating a line of skin care products featuring natural ingredients found in Hawaii. Awapuhi Extract, Lehua Honey, Coconut Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil and Passion Fruit Seed Oil contain naturally occurring substances that are wonderful for your skin. By combining these natural materials with modern emulsifiers and preservatives, Dr. Boucher, Ph.D. is creating luxurious powerful skincare products which deliver radiant, healthy skin.
All our products are made here in Hawaii in small batches. Maui Nani does not repackage skincare products purchased in bulk from a wholesale manufacturer or have products made on the mainland by a large skincare manufacturer. Making and formulating our own products takes a little more effort, but it ensures our products are unique and made with aloha.
Dr. Boucher, PhD, is a life long surfer and outdoor enthusiast. She spends lots of time out in the sun enjoying the surf at Ho’okipa Beach Park. Dr. Boucher knows first hand the challenges of trying to lead an outdoors lifestyle while maintaining radiant, healthy skin. The wind and sun gives your skin a beating even with regular use of high quality sunscreens and you have to get that waterproof sunscreen off at the end of the day. It is important to take care of your skin with quality products everyday. A good facial cleanser, toner and moisturizer are the basics to keep you face looking youthful and healthy.
Hawaii has some incredible natural materials which have amazing skin care properties. Awapuhi extract has been shown to reduce swelling. Lehua Honey is healing and antibacterial. Coconut Oil is very emollient and when saponified adds luxurious lather and cleaning power to soaps. Macadamia Nut Oil and Passion Fruit Seed Oil are high in short chain mono-unsaturated fatty acids and essential fatty acids which soak into your skin to replenish and protect the top layers. Maui Nani products contain substantial amounts of our special ingredients and our formulations are focused on ingredients which benefit your skin.
